profile

We've made one of our favorite features even easier to use in the latest version of Clock Cloud. If you want to set a new alarm, simply spin the clock hands or slide the numbers of the digital display to the new alarm time. A new alarm will pop into your list with the same settings as the last one you created.

Just like your phone's alarm, you can customize a few important settings. You can have the alarm repeat on certain days of the week and you can add a custom label. You can even turn off the snooze function so you'll get up right away. Clock Cloud has a couple unique features as well. You can choose a tone that will repeat until you stop it, or a custom Clock Cloud song. These songs start quietly about five minutes before you're alarm time. By the time you need to wake up, the song will amplify and gradually wake you up. The alarm songs pair flawlessly with the visual alarm, a digital sunrise that will slowly light up your room.

Clock Cloud Clockmakers

Our clock design community is growing

We love clockmakers! With Clock Cloud, we are updating the fantastic art of clockmaking to the 21st century. Granted, we cannot replicate the fine craftsmanship of a traditional clockmaker, but we can add our own twist to that definition. A photographer can now become a clockmaker. A painter or a sculptor can now make clocks. The clock store is the best feature of Clock Cloud for one reason alone: the rich, diverse talent brought by our clockmakers. We'll continue adding artists and companies to the store where they can feature artwork and designs while promoting their brand. See who is designing for clock cloud and learn how to get your work in the Clock Cloud store below.

FAQs

How do I create a new alarm?

There are two ways to set a new alarm

You can set an alarm similarly to the iPhone interface by pressing the "Alarms" button on the menu bar followed by the Plus (+) button. Customize the settings here as well. Press "Save" to set the alarm.

You can also tap on the minute or hour hand on any analog clock or a number on any digital clock and slide to the alarm time. Press the small check mark to set the alarm. When you use this method, the alarm will have the same settings as the last alarm you set or changed.

How do I adjust the volume of an alarm?

All of the sounds in the app are controlled by the master volume on the side of the iPad. Note: If the iPad volume is muted the alarm will not be heard. Make sure the volume of the iPad is turned up.

Why didn't I hear the song I chose as an alarm?

Clock Cloud must be running for the alarm sounds to work. Make sure the volume of your iPad is turned up. Double check the alarm time. The alarm must be set to “on” in the “Alarms” menu. While editing an alarm, make sure a sound is selected. If Clock Cloud isn't running, you will receive an alarm notification at your alarm time with a generic sound. This alarm will not repeat.

Why does the app have to be running in order to play my song?

Apple updated the iPad to allow apps to easily re-open and to send notifications. These give the illusion of true-multi-tasking without compromising the battery life. Unfortunately, we cannot force Clock Cloud to open when the alarm is set to trigger. You will receive a notification when the app is not running.

When does the sunrise visual alarm appear?

The visual alarm starts 9 minutes before the alarm. Alarm songs gently fade in 4 to 5 minutes before the alarm time. Alarm tones and iPod music start at the time of the alarm. Note: The screen must be on and Clock Cloud must be running for the visual alarm to appear.

Why didn't I see the visual alarm?

Make sure the screen is unlocked. You can dim the screen from the options menu located on the right side of the toolbar or by simply swiping your finger up or down on any clock. Also, make sure visual alarm is enabled in the alarm’s edit menu.

What is the difference between songs and tones when choosing the alarm sound?

Alarm songs are composed to slowly wake you up by fading in 4 to 5 minutes before the alarm time. Alarm tones are short tones that repeat until the alarm is snoozed or disabled.

How do I adjust the brightness of the screen?

Adjust the brightness of the screen in the options menu located on the right side of the toolbar. You can also swipe your finger up or down on any clock to adjust the brightness. We do not have control of the iPad's backlight brightness, so to turn it down further, you can adjust brightness within the Settings app on the iPad or if you double-tap the home button and swipe the bottom bar to the left.

What happens when my song ends?

The song will not repeat. If you sleep through a song or the alarm has not been disabled, a backup alarm will trigger and repeat until the alarm is snoozed or disabled starting five minutes after the song ends.

How long is the snooze time?

The snooze time is 9 minutes. The visual alarm will start over every time you snooze.

How do you switch between 12 and 24 hour modes?

Switch between 12 and 24 hour modes through the Settings app on the iPad. Your clocks are automatically set to the iPad's time. Any setting that is made to the iPad clock will automatically be applied to the clocks inside the app.

Can I submit a clock to sell in the clock store?

Yes. Contact us at Submit@DefinitiveApps.com

Thank You

This is a special Thank You to our customers. Without your support, we wouldn't have much of an app at all. We've spent the last months working hard to make Clock Cloud something you'll love and use daily. You motivate us so please keep the suggestions and feedback coming. We're not done yet!

From the App Store

This is not your typical clock App. It's much, much more! The graphics are incredible. The selection of sounds are expertly composed. Great job!
